Technical Theatre Audition Requirements
The Technical Theatre Pathway is looking for students who have a passion for building, crafting, lighting, sound and maker space projects. Students who enjoy designing, creating and bringing ideas to life on stage should apply for this pathway.
To apply to the CPMA Technical Theatre pathway:
Please complete an audition video. Your video should be recent (within one month of submission) and must include the following components. Your video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

Why do you want to attend CPMA?
2. Answer the following questions:

What do you enjoy or want to learn about working backstage?

Have you ever worked backstage before? If so, what did you like about it?
3. Submit your Design Ideas!

If you are interested in the Technical Theatre pathway, explain or outline your Design Ideas.

Think of a show, musical or book you enjoy. If you were creating a new stage show based on this story, what would you do?

Write or show pictures of your thoughts. If you enjoy costume design, show your costume creations. If you enjoy making props, show ideas on what they would look like. Interested in lighting? How would you light your show? Set design? What does that look like to you? We want to see your creativity!
Students will be evaluated individually. Areas of assessment will include:
